Chef de Partie - Central London, temporary (up to £ 9.50 per hour)

Corus Consultancy are looking for a Chef de Partie who has already gained some experience working within an Italian restaurant for our client in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person looking for an opportunity to develop their career with a leading organisation within their industry.

What you will be doing

This is an excellent opportunity for a career minded person. Your role will be to assist the Head Chef. You will ensure smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen operation within the restaurant department for our client.

Key Accountabilities:

1 To deliver consistently high levels of excellence to ensure complete satisfaction of both internal and external customer.
2 To ensure that the food is prepared and presented to the highest standards as required by the client
3 To produce food as directed by the Head to present it at the times required.
4 To be fully conversant with all food outlet menus, in particular items which are the responsibility of your section and of their recipes and quantities.
5 To advise the Head Chef of any irregularities in stock control.
6 To assist the Head Chef in rotation of stocks and correct storage procedure ensuring the appropriate stock level.
7 To assist the Apprentice Chef in developing all necessary skills for the relevant section.
8 To work in close liaison with all sections of the kitchen to ensure efficient service and maintain high level of communication with colleagues and other staff.
9 To ensure that your on-the-job training records are kept up to date and signed by your Head Chef on a regular basis.
10 To report any defects in machinery and equipment immediately.
11 To adhere to all statutory and Company requirements regarding, fire, health and safety and hygiene, including wearing correct and clean uniform and footwear all times and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene.

What we require of you:

1 A catering qualification NVQ level 3 minimum
2 Experience of working within an Italian restaurant
3 At least 2 year experience working as a Chef de Partie
4 Will alert subordinates, peers and managers if you are unable to honour your Commitment
5 To uphold and maintain all standards in line with your department's standard operating procedures.
6 Excellent customer service.
