Territory Sales Manager Required - Leeds and M62.

Due to continuing business requirements, we are now looking for a Territory Sales Manager to join the team on a permanent basis, covering Leeds and areas around the M62.

Territory Sales Manager Responsibilities:
To call regularly on specified multiple retail outlets to maintain, monitor and improve the display, and distribution of Dairy Crest products as agreed by the business. Duties include:
* Complete effective calls i.e. to meet the objectives and targets set by the National Field Sales Manager
* Build effective relationships within each outlet, with contact at all levels.
* To demonstrate full knowledge of Dairy Crest products and in store procedures in order to educate and motivate retailers in a professional manner
* Seek out, negotiate and maintain additional facings and/or dual sites wherever possible
* Ensure promotional compliance with a view to securing all promotional space that has been paid for and report back to the commercial team on findings
* To ensure a complete flow of communication with the central Commercial team
* Carry out couponing and sampling in store to drive customer awareness
* Contribute towards key project work where in-store information is required
* To maintain a cost-effective journey plan to ensure regular calls are made to specified outlets at the agreed frequency and seek out new opportunities throughout your territory
* To report back to the National Field Sales Manager any issues
* To 'trouble shoot' any issues that may arise in store, ensuring a suitable conclusion is reached
* To implement all company policies and practices as outlines in your Contract of Employment and ensure that all company equipment is secure and maintained in good condition

The ideal Territory Sales Manager:
The role needs a high degree of attention to detail and also initiative is required to marry the data capture and change activities that will be part of the ongoing activities. You will also have:
* Showing industry knowledge, with appreciation of structure, key relationships and retailer strategic direction
* Experience of liaising and building relationships with departmental managers in stores
* A proven track record of good relationship building and excellent communication skills
* Ability to produce and look at data then generate insight and recommendations, proficient in Excel and other relevant IT programmes.
* Proven planning and prioritising skills
* Results oriented
* Excellent communicator and relationship builder
* A high degree of self-motivation and 'can do' attitude
* Happy to work own your own initiative and as part of a team
* University degree or equivalent would be preferable
