Transport Operations Controller: Due to substantial new and sustained financial investment a calm and experienced Transport Operations Controller with good UK geographical knowledge is required to control a fleet of coaches and minibuses for a fully managed transport service, allocating and assigning bookings across the corporate and leisure operations.

Join a fantastic team providing customers and business clients with group transport solutions across a broad and diverse range of sectors including education, corporate events, leisure and travel.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing vehicles in a live environment and an ability to communicate clearly and calmly at all times with both clients and drivers.

Shifts could include Saturdays in the future.

Responsibilities:
*Track live service delivery, using the unique SchoolSafe software
*Maintain contact with suppliers, advising and updating clients
*Manage live service issues, considering safety and speed of resolution
*Review and analyse client requirements (including route and vehicle planning), pro-actively suggest changes to improve service delivery including controlling costs
*Plan resources including vehicles, supplier choice and price analysis
*Add and update bookings on the company systems
*Cover client bookings at competitive pricing through the company supply network of private coach and minibus operators across the UK
*Produce reports relating to daily service delivery
*Assist in the management and delivery of logistical support for client events and programmes as required

Skills & Experience:
*Experienced in the use of mapping software including Google Maps - tech savvy
*Good UK geographical knowledge
*Good sense of direction - must be able to read maps
*Experience with managing vehicles in a live environment preferred
*Ability to communicate in a calm, clear manner and deal with potentially stressed clients, including parents
*Excellent at building relationships over the telephone (speaking to drivers, bursars, etc)
*Strong IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
*Confident and positive proactive attitude
*Resilient, able to adapt and learn quickly
